Natural cold process soap keeps it in the bar. The conditioning comes from the oleic acid in olive oil and the emollient properties of shea and mango butters. Castor oil adds ricinoleic acid, which is humectant and boosts lather from other oils. Plant pigments in cold process can shift color during cure — this is normal and expected. The finished colour is the result of the pigment interacting with the saponification environment. These are real essential oils — steam-distilled or CO2-extracted botanical extracts, not fragrance oils or synthetic compounds. They are used at concentrations within IFRA rinse-off guidelines.
