A formula that conditions while it cleans, retains all the glycerin, and produces a lather that doesn't strip. Cold process. Cold process soap always retains its glycerin unless it is removed by the manufacturer. Commercial soap removes glycerin\u003cbr\u003ebecause it is a valuable ingredient in cosmetics and lotions. Natural cold process soap keeps it in the bar. The glycerin is what makes the\u003cbr\u003elather feel conditioning rather than stripping.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cbr\u003eQ: How does it lather and condition at the same time?\u003cbr\u003eA: The lather comes from lauric and myristic acids in the coconut oil. The conditioning comes from the oleic acid in olive oil and the\u003cbr\u003eemollient properties of shea and mango butters. Castor oil adds ricinoleic acid, which is humectant and boosts lather from other oils. The\u003cbr\u003eformula is designed to do both.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cbr\u003eQ: What gives it that colour?\u003cbr\u003eA: Deep Current is coloured with indigo powder. Plant pigments in cold process can shift colour during cure this is normal and expected. The finished colour is the result of the pigment interacting with the saponification environment. No two batches are identical.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cbr\u003eQ: What's the scent?\u003cbr\u003eA: Deep Current is scented with Spearmint EO, Eucalyptus Globulus, Fir Needle. These are real essential oils not fragrance oils or synthetic compounds. They are used at concentrations within IFRA rinse-off\u003cbr\u003eguidelines. There is no synthetic fragrance in this bar.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cbr\u003eQ: How long does the bar last?\u003cbr\u003eA: A 90g bar used daily lasts approximately 4-6 weeks with a well-draining soap dish. Sitting in water dramatically shortens bar life.
